Free and Reduced Price Meals

Students in ALL grade levels are eligible to receive Free or Reduced-price meals in accordance with USDA guidelines. Students may also be eligible if the family receives benefits from SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program; formerly Food Stamps). 

Students who are eligible for Free or Reduced-price meals may also be eligible to receive fee reductions or waivers for other services. Student fee waiver-eligibility is based on how you qualify for Free and Reduced-price meals. Fees will automatically be waived or reduced on your eligibility. There is a separate form that must be completed.

Reimbursable Meals

To be considered REIMBURSABLE a meal must consist of 5 components:

  • Meat/Meat Alternate (a meat alternate can be cheese, beans, lentils)
  • Fruit
  • Vegetable
  • Bread/Grain (at least 50% of breads must be WHOLE GRAIN)
  • Milk

A student is REQUIRED to take a minimum of three of these components to complete a REIMBURSABLE lunch meal. At least one component MUST BE 1/2 CUP SERVING OF EITHER FRUIT OR VEGETABLE

School Breakfast is made up of 4 components:.

  • Entree (which counts as TWO components)
  • Fruit
  • Milk

Students are required to take 3 of these components for a REIMBURSABLE Breakfast meal.

Skim Chocolate, 1% White and White Skim milk are offered daily with both Breakfast and Lunch meals. A student may take ONE extra milk with a meal for an additional cost of 40 cents.

Special or Modified Diets

If your student needs a special or modified diet, you MUST complete a Diet Modification Request Form through Susan Meyer, RN, our School Nurse. No diet modifications will be made without prior approval of the School Nurse.
